"The contraband of pesticides represent a serious risk to health, the environment and sustainable development. It is a practice that has been growing in recent years and the State of Mato Grosso do Sul has stood out as the main gateway for contrabanded products, especially across the border with Paraguay, as shown by statistics on the seizures carried out. The research that will be carried out intends to analyze this phenomenon, in order to understand the reasons why pesticide contrabanded has increased, identifying possible solutions to face the problem, under an interdisciplinary approach. The consequences of this practice will also be studied, with the effects on the health of people who consume the products that receive the application of pesticides, the impacts that these substances cause on the environment and the threats to sustainable development, including under the economic aspect, due to international agreements to which Brazil is a signatory, such as the agreement signed between the countries of Mercosur and the European Union. Therefore, the research will be exploratory and descriptive, using the inductive approach method and the historical, documentary, bibliographic, structuralist and experimental procedures. It is intended, therefore, through the methods and procedures mentioned, from concrete cases to generalizations, based on theoretical references and data to be worked on qualitatively and quantitatively. Emphasis will be placed on the treatment of data referring to seizures of pesticides already carried out by the various inspection, control and repression institutes, extracting the existing information for a mapping of the characteristics that will indicate possible solutions to the problem."
