The new version of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge PMBOK (PMI, 2004) presents a greater focus in analysis and processes management. This paper first describes the systemography, a technique used for processes analysis. After this, it elaborates two proposals for systemography application in the PMBOK’s project management model (PMI, 2004). These two proposals were created from the comparison between the chances for use of techniques for processes analysis described in the PMBOK (PMI, 2004) and ofthe solutions offered for the systemography. Finally, this paper presents some conclusions that demonstrate the chance of the application of the systemography in the PMBOK’s project management model.
